Common Issues and Troubleshooting

Using Welltory AI Coach is generally smooth, but like any technology, you might encounter some issues. Here's how to troubleshoot common problems:

Error in Data Synchronization ("error talking to")

  • Cause: this usually happens due to high server load on OpenAI's end.

  • Solution: refresh the page, start a new dialogue with Welltory AI Coach, or log in again.

Login Errors

  • Occurrence: these are rare but can happen.

  • Solution: similar to the above, try refreshing the page, engaging in a new dialogue, or re-logging into Welltory AI Coach.

Request Limitation by OpenAI

  • What Happens: ChatGPT users have a limited number of requests they can make in a certain period. If you hit this limit, ChatGPT will display a red banner indicating when you can continue the dialogue.

  • Solution: wait until the time specified in the banner has passed, then try again.

Long Response Times

  • Issue: sometimes, responses, especially those with user data, take longer than the OpenAI timeout period.

  • Solution: Repeat your request. We are continuously working to optimize response times to minimize such occurrences.

A response doesn't meet your expectations

  • Solution: Ask for a redo, considering your preferences. Also, slight changes in your requests can help get the desired outcome. This is a key aspect of interacting with Large Language Model (LLM) systems like ChatGPT.

Welltory AI Coach doesn't reply in your language

  • Solution: Usually, Welltory AI Coach recognizes the language you're using and responds accordingly. If it doesn't switch, ask directly, like "speak German". If this doesn't work, it might be that ChatGPT doesn't support that language yet.

If you're still facing issues after trying these solutions, it might be something more specific to your situation. In such cases, feel free to reach out for further assistance. In the Welltory app, please go to Menu, scroll it down, and tap Report a problem, briefly describe your issue, if necessary, attach screenshots illustrating it, and tap Send.

The geolocation in my data is wrong

If you're experiencing issues with incorrect geolocation data in Welltory AI Coach, here's what you can do to resolve them:

  1. Not having geotracking permissions enabled.

    • Solution: Ensure you've granted Welltory AI Coach the necessary permissions to access your geolocation.

  2. A VPN can cause inaccurate geolocation readings.

    • Solution: Disable your VPN to allow for precise geolocation tracking.

  3. Displaying a previous location due to outdated data.

    • Solution: Make a camera measurement to update your current location. The system uses manual measurements to refresh geolocation data.

  4. Inherent Inaccuracies: Geolocation data is sourced from a weather service with a 30km accuracy range, so slight deviations are possible.

    • Solution: Regular camera measurements can help maintain updated and accurate geolocation data.

Why doesn't Welltory AI Coach see my updated data in our ongoing chat?

In an ongoing dialogue, Welltory AI Coach primarily uses the data obtained at the beginning of the conversation. This means that the data might not be the freshest if the dialogue has been open for some time.

  • Solution 1: Begin a new dialogue with Welltory AI Coach. In a new conversation, Welltory AI Coach will first fetch data, ensuring it accesses the most recent information.

  • Solution 2: If you prefer not to start a new dialogue, you can explicitly ask the Welltory AI Coach to retrieve data again within the existing conversation. Simply request Welltory AI Coach to check for updated data. For example, you could say, "Can you refresh and check the latest data again?". Look for Welltory AI Coach to start an action again. This indicates it's accessing the most recent data.

Issue when connecting to Welltory: redirected to ChatGPT main screen

If you're attempting to connect to Welltory but find yourself being sent back to the main screen of ChatGPT, and the login process doesn't complete, here's what you need to know:

This problem may occur if your ChatGPT interface is set to any language other than English. We are aware of this issue, but it appears to be on the ChatGPT side, which is beyond our control at the moment. As of now, this issue has been observed only in the web version of ChatGPT.

  • Solution: Try switching the ChatGPT interface language to English before attempting to synchronize with Welltory. After successfully linking your accounts, you can change the ChatGPT interface back to your preferred language.

Welltory AI Coach not connecting to Welltory and not using your data

Welltory AI Coach decides independently whether to connect to your data based on your query's phrasing. If it seems like a general question, it might not fetch your specific data.

  • Solution: Clarify your queries and directly indicate your need for data analysis. To prompt Welltory AI Coach to use your specific Welltory data, frame your questions more personally. For example, instead of asking, "How to sleep better?" try "How do I sleep better today considering my day?" The latter is more likely to lead Welltory AI Coach to connect with Welltory and analyze your data. So make your request more explicit. Include phrases like "based on my data," "personalized advice," or "based on my day today." This signals to the bot that you're seeking an analysis of your data.

By adjusting how you phrase your questions, you can guide the bot towards providing more personalized, data-based responses, improving the relevance and usefulness of its answers.
