Keep a record of your migraines and see how those days line up with changes in your own stress, activity, and sleep data.
Why track migraines?
It can be hard to remember the details of an episode once it has passed. Recording when a migraine started, how it felt, what you took, and whether it helped gives you a clearer picture of how your episodes differ. Over time, you can look back at their frequency and severity, notice patterns worth exploring, and bring a more useful record to a conversation with your care team.
The charts add context to the days you report. They cannot predict a migraine or tell you what caused one.
Log a migraine
In Migraine tracker on Today, choose the day your migraine began. Add the start and end times, or select Still ongoing if it hasn’t ended. You can also record how severe it felt, where it hurt, your symptoms, what you took, whether it helped, and a note.
Review your entry, then save it to your Journal. You can open it again from the Journal or Your migraine log and edit it later. You can record more than one migraine on the same day.
Can't find a symptom or medication in More symptoms or More medications? Write it in Leave a note so it stays with your entry. You can also request a new tag: open the episode details and tap Give feedback. Writing something in a note does not automatically add it to the tag catalog.
Read your migraine log
Your migraine log shows the last seven days, including today. A marked day means you recorded a migraine; it doesn’t mean Welltory detected one automatically. The number is the severity you recorded. If you logged several migraines that day, the log shows the highest severity, and you can open the day to find the individual entries.
Understand your baseline
The charts compare each day with your own history, not with a population average. A baseline line marks the edge of what is usual for you. Crossing it means that day was unusual for you. It does not mean the day was healthy or unhealthy, and it does not explain why a migraine happened.
For each day, Welltory looks at the 30 calendar days before it. Today’s value never affects today’s baseline. To build a reliable boundary, we use days with a known sleep period and no more than two hours of missing data while you were awake. If there are fewer than 14 reliable days, we don’t draw a baseline line yet.
With enough history, we find your typical value and how much your readings usually vary above and below it. We then place the boundary beyond that usual variation. The seven days shown on the chart are a view of your recent results; they aren’t the full set of days used to calculate the boundary.
Migraine tracker shows three measures:
Stress Impact: stress accumulated over the day. A value above your upper boundary is marked as shifted.
Total Active Time: all active minutes, including light movement and workouts. Values below or above your usual range are marked as shifted.
Sleep Score: your sleep score for that day. A value below your lower boundary is marked as shifted.
In Changes from your baseline, a small green dot means a measured value is within your range. A larger white dot means it crossed a boundary. A blank space means there isn’t enough information to make that comparison; it does not mean everything was in range. The charts below show the daily values and baseline boundaries in more detail.
These comparisons can help you explore patterns over time. A shifted day is not a migraine prediction or proof of a cause.
What’s free?
You can log migraines, choose symptoms and medication tags, add notes, and read or edit your entries for free.
A subscription unlocks the objective measurements, Changes from your baseline, and the detailed charts. If measurements or enough reliable history are missing, subscribing won’t create a value or a baseline line for those days.
Who sees this tracker?
Migraine Tracker is currently offered in English to new iOS users who reported migraines during onboarding. If you also reported a condition associated with PEM, such as ME/CFS or chronic fatigue, Long COVID, or POTS, you may see Crash Tracker instead. Your onboarding answers help tailor the app; Welltory does not use them to diagnose a condition.
