A positive correlation means that the first metric increases or decreases in sync with the second.

Here’s what it looks like:

This chart means that when then amount of time you spend in bed increases, the number of active calories you burn that day also goes up in 66% of cases.

And when you spend less time in bed, you burn fewer active calories in 66% of cases.

If you see a correlation like this, it means you’re likely to be more active when you get more sleep — a great insight if you’re trying to lose weight.
